When selecting persons to be part of our team we look for people who are passionate about excellence in service delivery.
Our team members are dedicated to making their clients happy and are flexible and extremely patient. Our team members treat all of our clients just like they were our own mothers and fathers or family members. Let us assume the task of finding a reliable, trustworthy caregiver matched to your loved ones personality. We strive to limit the number of caregivers in your home to a maximum of two. One person would serve as your regular caregiver and the other would be a back up who is familiar with your routine. Always ensuring that visits are conducted according to scheduled times and dates is as important to us as it is to you.
Our caregivers are all professionally screened, have obtained professional credentials, have clear criminal record checks, are CPR and first aid qualified, and are up to date on TB tests and vaccinations. Blue Sky Personal Support Workers encourages ongoing training and education. Our employees update qualifications and are eager to enhance their skills so that the service they deliver is leading edge and in line with best practice policies.

Born and raised in North Bay, I love being part of the Blue Sky Region community. I have always had a passion for helping others. Being the owner of Blue Sky Personal Support Workers I take pride in ensuring that all of our clients are 100% satisfied. When I began operation of Blue Sky Personal Support Workers in 2008 I was able to utilize my many years of experience and training in finance and administration, customer service, and personnel management in the day to day operations of the business.
Becoming certified as a Personal Support Worker has enhanced my practical skills in preparation for delivering top quality home care services. I seek out only the most qualified compassionate, caring employees to become part of my team.
Check out our Key Purpose and Key Goals in the company profile section to get more information on my mission statement. I am very active in my community and believe that it is important for everyone to get involved at some level. I have been a member of the Canadian Forces Supplementary Reserves and have worked the Canadian Cadet program for over 14 years. Being Commanding Officer of two local units in the past, was an honour and a pleasure. I have been a member of the 406 Squadron Royal Canadian Air Force Alliance for over 10 years. Every year we make donations to various local charities.
I promise to work very hard for you when you become part of our client network. I will ensure that everyone receiving care from Blue Sky Personal Support Workers is truly satisfied with the level of care they are receiving and do what it takes to make things right if they aren't 100% satisfied.
My name is Donna. In 1976 I graduated from the Canadore College Nursing Program. I absolutely love what I am doing and I adore the clients I work with for Blue Sky Personal Support Workers.
I worked outside of nursing for a couple of years but I soon returned when I realized just how much I missed the feeling of fulfillment I receive when I am working directly with people, especially seniors. I like the fact that I get to work with the same people on a regular basis.
Blue Sky Personal Support Workers always makes an effort to keep the same workers with the same clients. I am able to build a rapport with my clients and get to know their preferences and routines. This makes my job very easy and it also makes it easy for the people I visit. They can relax and carry on with their routines without worry or stress.
Hi, I am Shannon and I am a graduate from the Registered Practical Nursing Program at Canadore College. I have been dedicated to caring for seniors for over 10 years and my work experience extends from a long term care setting to community support. Fluent in French as well as English, I enjoy working one on one with clients to ensure all their needs are met.
That being said, after working in the community as a PSW with Blue Sky PSWs Ltd. for over 2 years, today I work in the office as the Manager of Client Services.
Away from work I spend much of my time with my family and close friends in our new country home.
I have enjoyed working with and caring for seniors ever since my first position as a Dietary Aide at the age of sixteen. At the same time, I was completing a co-op placement at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie. Once I had completed my placement, I was certain that I needed to pursue a career in health care. I am currently working towards my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Nipissing University. I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to work as a Personal Support Worker with Blue Sky PSWs during the time of my studies. The team is just as supportive to each other as they are to our clients, and it is a true pleasure to be able to care for the community with Blue Sky Personal Support Workers Ltd.
When away from work or school, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones.
My name is Victoria and I am very excited to have become a part of a team that is so welcoming. The best part about belonging to this particular team is looking forward to seeing the clients each and every day. I enjoy working with others and interacting with individuals in our community.
At the age of 13, I joined the 547 Squadron Air Cadets Program here in North bay. The program allowed me to realize I enjoyed volunteering and working in the community. During my free time I teach the Air Cadets during their regular training, as well as biathlon within the program.
I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love to keep active and am a very motivated individual.
I look forward to continuing to work in the community as a Home Support Worker with the Blue Sky PSWs Ltd team!
I have been a caring person for as long as I can remember and I wanted to help anyone that I could. This is why I became a PSW.
I was raised to be a kind, loving, compassionate, patient and understanding individual. I have always been able to relate to the older generations.
I am a mother of two and a step mother to one. I have always lived in North Bay and I will not be leaving this wonderful community.
Recently I have decided to go back to school and become an Registered Practical Nurse. This will just be another way of caring for people in our community.
I am pleased to now be a part of the Blue Sky PSWs team and am looking forward to continuing my passion of caring for others.
